The Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble (RYDE) was founded in 1983 to provide a forum for students and emerging artists in dance and theatre to develop their talents in an integrated, supportive environment of education and performance.

RYDE features accomplished young performers from the local area. Over the years numerous RYDE dancers have studied at summer dance programs with prestigious national companies throughout the United States. Many have gone on to become successful performers in dance and theatre on Broadway, in national dance companies and in regional theatre.
